We fit better if
- Instagram is the only channel you use
- You want a number you can budget against
- You want free access that does not expire in a week
- You would rather write your own DMs than have AI do it
Comparison
One does many channels with many features. One does Instagram comment-to-DM and publishes a number you can budget against. If Instagram is where your customers are, narrower turns out to be easier to run.

We make one of these two products, so take this as our case rather than a referee's. Every figure is checkable and the source is linked.

Source: instantdm.com/pricing, read 13 September 2026. Our rows come from the limits the backend enforces — in full here.
Their entry plan is advertised as “Unlimited (750/hr)”. There is nothing wrong with that — every tool has a ceiling somewhere, and an hourly one is an honest way to express it. It is simply a different thing to plan against.
A reel that takes off delivers most of its comments in the first few hours, which is exactly when an hourly cap binds and a monthly one does not. To their credit they have built for this: they advertise “Safety Queues” and a “Viral Mode” that paces sends during a spike, which is the right engineering answer. Ours is the same in substance — delivery is queued, rate-limited and retried against Meta's own window — we just publish a monthly number you can budget against rather than an hourly one.
At our monthly limit sends stop, each is recorded in the log with the reason, and nothing is charged for going over. Ask them what the 751st message in an hour does: queues, waits or drops.
Both are official Meta partners on the Instagram Graph API, so the connection is not the question. Breadth is.

List prices as published on 13 September 2026. The comparison is awkward because the units differ: we sell a stated monthly allowance, they sell “unlimited” with an hourly ceiling.

| Testing before you commit | Free, indefinitely, 300 DMs/mo | Free for 7 days, then paid |
| One Instagram account, steady volume | 15 USD/mo | $9.99/mo |

Their pricing page did not state how many Instagram accounts each tier allows when we read it, so that row is left open rather than guessed. Ask them before assuming.
Their entry plan was $9.99 a month against our 15 when we checked on 13 September 2026, so yes at the bottom of the range. Their higher tier was $24.99. We have a permanent free plan and they offer a 7-day trial instead, so at zero spend the comparison reverses.
Their entry plan is described as "Unlimited (750/hr)" and the higher tier as "Truly Unlimited". An hourly ceiling is a normal engineering constraint, but it is harder to plan against than a monthly number, especially for a launch where most comments arrive in the first few hours. Ask them how it behaves on a spike before relying on it.
InstantDM advertises Facebook page comments and Messenger alongside Instagram. We are Instagram only and have no plans to change that. If you need both channels in one tool, that is a straightforward reason to pick them.
Both say so. InstantDM describes itself as an official Meta Business Partner using the official Instagram Graph API, with no passwords, browser bots or scraping. We run on the same API and hold Advanced Access from Meta App Review. Neither of us is automating the Instagram app on a phone, which is the category worth avoiding.
Our free plan does not expire after seven days, so you can leave a campaign on a real post and come back to the log next week.
Not affiliated with Meta, Instagram or InstantDM.
300 DMs a month that do not expire after seven days. Enough to test on a real post.
